Cybersecurity implies the state of protection of the vital interests of man and citizen, society and the state in cyberspace – an environment that arose as a result of functioning on the basis of unified principles and according to the general rules of information and telecommunication systems. In it, information on persons, objects, facts, events, phenomena, processes are presented in some mathematical, symbolic or any other form; placed in the memory of any physical device designed to store, process and transmit information; are in constant motion with a combination of IT systems and networks.
The growing spread of IT technologies has made our lives and activities dependent on their reliable functioning. But because of the inherent vulnerabilities to cyberattacks, IT technologies can betray us. And there are many such examples, in particular, such resonant as the Petya virus, which in 2017 blocked the information and communication resources of many companies and government agencies, or the leak of personal data of customers that occurred in PrivatBank.
Thus, cybersecurity is a prerequisite for the spread of modern IT technologies and ensuring the continuity of functioning of state institutions and private enterprises. The key task in this direction is to train cybersecurity specialists.
